Barbie J Daycare, LLC has been in operation since Jan 2012. Ages range from 6 weeks- school age. Our core belief is taken from a combination of Ericsson’s nature vs. nurture and Reggio’s teaching style of how to use symbolic languages (ie: painting, sculpting, drama) in everyday life. The program is based on the principles of respect, responsibility, and community through exploration and discovery, in a supportive and enriching environment. Our staff also believes that consistency, nurturing, balanced nutrition, and positive interaction create a happy environment for children to thrive. Our daycare is a Type A FCC home daycare/ preschool in Summit County, Ohio. Our daycare follows the guidelines of Early Learning Developmental Standards (ELDS) set for by the NAEYC. Currently we only take private pay. Please call our daycare for a walk-thru if you are interested in having your child attend our daycare. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you soon.
BJD's Educational Programs
The educational programs at Barbie J Daycare were created with our children’s needs in mind: to mature and develop in a safe yet stimulating environment. Take a look below to learn more about each program.

Outdoor Play
Here For You
There is nothing more exciting for a young child than running, jumping, skipping, and hoping around outside. Daily exercise is vital in the growth of large muscles and for gross motor skill development. Here at BJD we spend lots of time outside exploring our environment.
Art Lessons
A Perfect Fit
What is a better way to express yourself artistically than daily arts and crafts? We cant think of one either! We incorporate Language Art and Basic Math Skills in all of our daily lessons. BJD's teachers focus on teaching little ones to use scissors and grip a pencil properly while we help perfect fine motor skills.
Imaginative Play
Exploration Through Playing
Kids LOVE to make believe play and mimic the roles they observe in their daily lives. Dramatic roleplaying encourages leadership and social development. We use this "low stress environment" to teach while having fun.
Circle Time
Imagination Station
Children learn to appreciate books and reading when introduced at an early age. Statistically when a child loves books they excel academically. At BJD we explore new places, travel to far away lands, and learn to follow classroom direction during daily circle time.
